Astronaut

At school, Aidan's class has been learning about community helpers - teachers, doctors, policemen, firemen, etc. Last week, he brought home a note telling me that this Thursday, he would be allowed to come to school out of uniform, as long as he dressed as what he wants to be when he grows up. I think the assumption was that the child would choose one of the community helpers they'd been studying.

They obviously don't know my child. He wanted to be a slice of pizza for Halloween last year, for crying out loud. When I asked Aidan what he wants to be when he grows up, he said....AN ASTRONAUT! Interesting choice, considering NASA's space shuttle closed down last year, but we went with it.

Here he is, ready for school as an astronaut...
