No, I don't actually mean being unable to sleep. As I was peeling apples, making baby food, I suddenly thought of Sleepless in Seattle and Meg Ryan peeling that apple in one long strip. I got one about halfway, but no matter how I tried, I couldn't peel one like that. And I wondered how many takes it took for them to shoot that. How many apples did they go through? I know. Sometimes I think about odd stuff.
According to a story that Patrick tells, mom peeled an apple in one strip with her finger nails apparently.
ReplyDeleteThere was an episode of The Andy Griffith Show (aka "Andy of Mayberry" in my house, I have no idea why we called it that) where Sheriff Andy Taylor does the same thing! I remember thinking it was so cool...pretty much the icing on the coolness cupcake that is the Andy Griffith Show.
